Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Z.S KATZRIN LTD (“we”, “us”, “the Company”) handles personal information: on this website, in correspondence with us, and in the applications we publish on the Apple App Store.
1. Who we are
Z.S KATZRIN LTD, 14 Maklef Mordechai, Haifa 3295214, Israel. For anything concerning personal information, including requests to access or correct it, write to support@katzrin-ltd.com.
We are the controller of the personal information described below. Where we build software for a client and process data on that client’s behalf, the client is the controller and we act as a processor under a written agreement with them; this policy does not govern that data.
2. Information we collect
2.1 This website
The website has no accounts, no comment forms and no advertising or tracking cookies. Our web server keeps standard access logs, which contain your IP address, the page requested, the time of the request, the referring page and your browser’s user-agent string. These logs exist to keep the site running and secure, and to investigate abuse or faults.
2.2 When you write to us
If you email us, we receive your address, your message and anything you attach. We keep the correspondence so we can answer you and, where a project follows, so we have a record of what was agreed.
2.3 Our applications
Applications differ, and each one declares its own data practices. Before downloading, you can read the “App Privacy” section on the app’s App Store product page, and an app that collects data of its own will say so inside the app.
Where an application we publish collects personal information, the categories are usually one or more of the following: device and diagnostic data (crash reports, performance metrics), an identifier used to keep your settings and purchases tied to your device, and purchase records supplied to us by Apple. We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos or health data unless an app states this explicitly and asks for your permission through the standard iOS prompt.
3. Why we use it, and on what legal basis
- To provide and maintain the site and our apps — including diagnosing crashes and fixing faults. Where the GDPR applies, this rests on our legitimate interest in offering working software, or on performance of a contract with you.
- To answer your messages — legitimate interest, or steps taken at your request before entering a contract.
- To handle purchases, subscriptions and refunds made through the App Store — performance of a contract, and compliance with tax and accounting obligations.
- To keep systems secure and prevent abuse — legitimate interest.
- To comply with the law — legal obligation.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising profiling.
4. Who else sees it
- Apple distributes our applications and processes every purchase, subscription and refund. Apple is an independent controller of the data it collects from you; its own privacy policy governs that.
- Our hosting and infrastructure providers, who store the website and its logs on our instructions.
- Professional advisers and authorities, where we are required to disclose information by law, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
5. Transfers outside Israel
We are based in Israel. Our service providers, and Apple, may store or process data in other countries, including in the European Economic Area and the United States. Where personal information originating in the EEA or the United Kingdom is transferred, we rely on the European Commission’s adequacy decision for Israel or on standard contractual clauses with the provider concerned.
6. How long we keep it
- Web server logs — up to 12 months, then deleted or anonymised.
- Email correspondence — for as long as needed to deal with the matter, and afterwards where a record is required for accounting, tax or limitation-period purposes.
- Purchase records — for the period required by Israeli tax and bookkeeping law.
7. Your rights
Under Israel’s Privacy Protection Law, 5741-1981, you may ask to inspect the information we hold about you, and to have it corrected or deleted if it is incorrect, incomplete or out of date. Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to you, you also have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these, write to support@katzrin-ltd.com. We may need to confirm your identity before acting, so that we do not disclose your information to someone else. You may also complain to the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority, or to the data protection authority of your country of residence.
8. Children
Our applications are not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, write to us and we will delete it.
9. Security
The website is served over HTTPS. Access to systems that hold personal information is limited to people who need it, and protected by individual credentials. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Where a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will say so on this page rather than change it silently.
